Usage

Customization

Licensing

The plugin operates in demo mode by default. While fully functional, it adds a watermark and Pdfcrowd branding over the content.

To remove the demo watermark and Pdfcrowd branding, you can purchase an API license. Activate the license by entering your Pdfcrowd username and API key in the plugin settings under the License tab.

A Pdfcrowd API license is versatile, allowing use across multiple WordPress websites for our plugins. Additionally, the API license grants direct access to the Pdfcrowd API for broader range of applications.

Basic Troubleshooting

If the default plugin output does not meet your requirements, consider adjusting the following settings individually. You may need to activate the “Expert Settings” option to access some of these features.

Mode > Conversion Mode: Try switching it to either “Upload” or “Content”.
Print Resolution > Viewport Width: Experiment with different widths to see which yields the best result.
Print Resolution > Viewport Height: Increase this value, for example, to 50000, to see if it improves the output.
Print Resolution > Smart Scaling Mode: Different scaling modes can significantly alter the PDF’s page layout.
Print Resolution > Rendering Mode: This setting also impacts the layout of the PDF page.

I had been using another popular pdf plugin with pretty good success. However, it was always a bit finicky, spacing never quite right, etc. After a little frustration, I searched again and found this PDFCrowd plugin. I was super excited about how cleanly the formatting, including spacing, came across from my wordpress pages. I am not a programmer, but have a somewhat technical background. I needed a couple of minor tweaks to the set up (eg. manual page break, image borders, images not breaking across pages, etc.). I was even more excited at the support provided to assist me with these items.This is probably more expensive than the other options out there, but the quality of the pdf rendering stands above the rest, at least for my site. I highly recommend this plugin.

AWESOME plugin for saving pages/posts as a pdf. We ended up purchasing the pro version as well and support was quick and accurate for helping us with a small issue.

I understand allowing 'freemium' plugins, but this is just a pitch for the paid version as it is not usable without paying: "The plugin runs in the demo by default. It is fully functional but adds a watermark and Pdfcrowd branding over the content."

I did try a lot of js scripts and more than 8 plugins, but this plugin is best way to make pdf from pages. Really. A lot of customization and options.
