This plugin is designed to support integrating Wordpress sites into your existing\nidentity management infrastructure using a Shibboleth<\/a> Service Provider \/ Identity \nProvider.<\/p>\n\n

This plugin was initially based off of the Shibboleth Plugin<\/a> by Will Norris, but\nupdated to support network-based installations of WordPress, as well as the ability\nto update permissions on a per-site basis.<\/p>\n\n

WordPress can be configured so that all standard login requests will be sent to\nyour configured Identity Provider. Once authenticated, a WordPress account will be\ncreated if one does not exist. User attributes can be synchronized with your enterprise's\nsystem.<\/p>\n\n

In addition, the user's role within each WordPress site, as well as the role of Super Admin,\n can be set and updated based on any attribute Shibboleth provides.<\/p>\n\n\n

Pre-Requisites<\/h4>\n\n

This plugin assumes that you already have your Shibboleth Service Provider properly \ninstalled and working using \"lazy sessions\"<\/p>\n\n

The plugin will attempt to set the .htaccess directives automatically. If it is \nunable to, add this manually either to your .htaccess file, or Apache configuration:\n AuthType Shibboleth\n Require Shibboleth\n ShibRequireSession Off<\/p>\n\n

Uploading the Plugin<\/h4>\n\n

Upload the shibbolize<\/code> folder to your WordPress plugins folder. By default, this is:\n \/wp-content\/plugins Afterwards, activate it through the WordPress admin panel. Configure it\nthrough the Shibbolize<\/code> settings page.<\/p>\n\n\n
