Privacy Policy

The plugin does not track frontend visitors and does not collect analytics about your site usage. When AI features are used, post content is sent directly from your WordPress server to your chosen AI provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Gemini) using your own API key. Please review your AI provider’s privacy policy for information on how they handle submitted content.

For sites subject to GDPR, the plugin’s data processing is limited to:

Storing plugin settings in the WordPress wp_options table
Storing per-post SEO metadata in the WordPress wp_postmeta table
Encrypted storage of user-provided API keys in wp_options
If you use the support form, your name, email address, site URL, plugin version, selected request type, WordPress/PHP versions, and message are sent by your WordPress site via email to plugin support.
If you configure an IndexNow API key, the plugin sends changed public URLs, your site host, the IndexNow key, and the key verification URL to IndexNow when search notifications are triggered.

No cookies are set for frontend visitors. No analytics are collected by the plugin.

Is GT – AI SEO/GEO/AEO Optimizer free?: Yes. The plugin does not require an account or activation key, and it does not gate bundled features. AI-powered generation features require connecting your own AI provider API key. You pay your selected AI provider directly for any usage.
Can I use AI features for free?: Yes. Google Gemini 1.5 Flash has a free tier (15 requests/minute, 1 million tokens/day) — no billing setup required on Google’s side. For most small sites, this provides enough AI generation at zero cost. Go to GT SEO/GEO/AEO AI Settings, select Gemini as your provider, and paste your free Google AI Studio key.
Do I need an API key to use the plugin?: No. An API key is only required for AI generation features. All SEO tools — meta boxes, sitemaps, schema, breadcrumbs, redirects, AEO scoring, robots.txt, and llms.txt — work with no API key at all.
Which AI provider produces the best results?: All three providers produce high-quality SEO metadata. OpenAI GPT-4o provides the most consistent title and description quality. Anthropic Claude 3.5 Sonnet excels at natural-sounding, readable copy. Google Gemini 1.5 Flash is the fastest and most cost-effective for large bulk operations. You can switch providers at any time without losing your existing data.
Does this slow down my website?: No. The plugin loads zero JavaScript or CSS for unauthenticated frontend visitors. It only enqueues admin assets in the WordPress dashboard. Your Core Web Vitals, LCP, FID, and CLS scores are not affected by installing this plugin.
Will it conflict with Yoast SEO, Rank Math, or All in One SEO?: Running two SEO plugins simultaneously outputs duplicate meta tags and can cause indexing issues. The plugin detects other active SEO plugins and shows a warning. We recommend migrating from your existing plugin first. Use GT SEO/GEO/AEO Tools Import to bring in your existing Yoast SEO or Rank Math data (titles, descriptions, focus keywords).
Does it work with WooCommerce?: Yes. WooCommerce product pages are automatically included in XML sitemaps and benefit from all core features — schema markup, breadcrumbs, Open Graph tags, canonical URLs, and the post editor meta box — without any extra configuration.
What is llms.txt and do I need it?: llms.txt is an emerging standard (similar to robots.txt) that tells AI language models — including ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude — what content your site contains and how to understand it. Sites with a properly formatted llms.txt are more likely to be cited in AI-generated answers. The plugin generates and serves this file automatically. It is optional but recommended for any site that wants visibility in AI search engines.
Does it generate XML sitemaps?: Yes. The plugin generates a complete sitemap suite and replaces the need for a separate sitemap plugin: Sitemap Index, Posts Sitemap, Pages Sitemap, Image Sitemap, Custom Post Type Sitemaps, and RSS Sitemap. It can notify supported search engines through IndexNow when you publish new content. Existing sitemaps from Yoast or other plugins should be disabled before enabling this plugin’s sitemaps.
Is my API key stored securely?: Yes. API keys are encrypted with AES-256-CBC using your WordPress SECURE_AUTH_SALT as the cipher key before being saved to the database. They are never transmitted to any server other than your chosen AI provider, and are never exposed to the frontend. Existing unencrypted keys (from before v1.2.0) are automatically migrated to encrypted storage on first use.
Does it support WordPress Multisite?: Yes. GT – AI SEO/GEO/AEO Optimizer is compatible with WordPress Multisite in both network-activated (all sites share settings) and per-site activation (each site configures independently) modes.
Can I use multiple AI providers?: Yes. You can store API keys for all three providers simultaneously and switch the active provider at any time from GT SEO/GEO/AEO AI Settings. Each provider’s key is stored separately and encrypted independently.
Can I import my data from Yoast SEO or Rank Math?: Yes. Go to GT SEO/GEO/AEO Tools Import and select your existing plugin. The importer will import all SEO titles, meta descriptions, focus keywords, and redirect rules without overwriting any data you have already set.
Does it help with WordPress security and performance?: Yes. The plugin includes a Hardening panel (GT SEO/GEO/AEO Settings Hardening) that lets you remove WordPress version exposure, disable XML-RPC, add security headers, and clean up unnecessary head bloat. There is also a Database Optimization tool to clean revisions, transients, and spam comments — keeping your site lean for search engine crawlers.
